I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and developed a keen interest in art at a very early age. On my ninth birthday, I began art classes with emphasis toward drawing, pastel, and oil painting.
Presently, I am fortunate to have numerous works in private collections across the country. In my home town of Bowling Green, Kentucky, I am represented by: 440 Main Restaurant, Candlemakers on the Square, Barbara Stewart Fine Interiors, Tile Art Gallery, Bowling Green Visitors and Convention Bureau, and By-Pass Animal Clinic where I donate part of my sales of pet portraits to the homeless for their pet care. In Clarksville, TN., you can find my artwork at Roux Americajun Restaurant.
I work with many different mediums such as graphite, pen and ink, acrylics and pastel pencil; yet watercolor is my primary medium. I was awarded the 2014 Women of Achievement Award in Art granted by the Bowling Green Human Rights Commission. Besides being a full time artist, I am a part-time contributor to SOKY Happenings Magazine where I reside as the artist in residence. I am also a founding member of ArtWorks: A Visual Arts Coalition; an art league of southern Kentucky professional artist.
In fall 2019, I will have a solo exhibition at the Joe Downing Museum located on the beautiful grounds of The Baker Arboretum. My studio is located in Alvaton, KY where I live with my wonderful hubby of 24 years and my four-legged companions Hijito and Picasso.
